If You’re a Creature of Comfort, This is Your Ultimate Guide to Cosy Winter Wear

We’re taking the cue from the Fall/Winter 2020 runways – our beds are the season’s muse.

It’s officially cuddle weather. Even in this part of the world where it’s sunny all year round, the sky has been pouring with rain. The dipping temperature does things to us. We love it for the weekends when we have absolutely nothing on the agenda. Every other day, cool, breezy mornings make it that much harder for us to peel ourselves away from the bed. In an ideal world, we would stay in all day but as reality beckons, we have to show up at our day jobs. If we can’t stay snuggled under the covers all day, we’ll make do with a cosy wardrobe.

And as the Fall 2020 collections proved, taking parts of your bed out with you for the day is not entirely out of the left field. At Rick Owens, the designer made a case for oversized puffer capes that could easily double up as a sleeping bag during lunch break; at Michael Kors, models were draped in capes – one could consider that the adult equivalent of getting swaddled; and at Chloé, Gigi Hadid sashayed down the runway with a blanket casually slung on her arm. We’d take these as the nods of approval we need to dress like our sheets and get away with it.

From oversized cashmere scarves to fluffy pullovers and quilted pants, we’ve scoured for the clothing equivalent of our beds that we love so dearly. Goodbyes in the mornings just got a whole lot easier.
