Kathryn Dennis, a fan favorite on Bravo’s reality television show, Southern Charm, has been fired from her job after a racist text she sent to a Black radio host surfaced online.
The controversial redhead reportedly got into a dispute with radio host/activist, Mika Gadsden, over a “Trump Boat Parade” being organized by local businesses.
Kathryn denied that support Trump made her a racist, but during her replies, used the money emoji — a clearly racist move.
“This is what happens when a Black woman in #Charleston speaks up against white supremacy,” Gadsden said as she shared the message.
Kathryn then quickly offered an apology:
“From the bottom of my heart I sincerely apologize to anyone and everyone I hurt. Although the context was not my intention, there are no ‘if ands or buts’ that excuse me did not give it thought, and it was and is wrong. I know I am not that person. I know and will do better,” she wrote.
