A Chicago woman has been charged with shooting her boyfriend in the face, after police say that the boyfriend walked in on her cheating with another man.
According to police, a Chicago couple, Tamara Chapman (26) and her 27-year-old boyfriend went shopping for groceries early Saturday (Apr. 18).
Tamara’s boyfriend dropped her home, and then went back out to run some more errands.
While he was away, police say that Tamara invited another man to her home – and was intimate with him.
Tamara’s boyfriend returned to her home, and walked in on Tamara with her side dude.
Angered, the boyfriend took Tamara’s car and drove back to his home.
Tamara called her boyfriend, and convinced him to come back to her home, where she confronted him and an argument ensued.
The man told police Tamara then pulled out a gun, pointed it in his face and said to him: “You’re not going to leave me or I’ll f**king kill you.”
Prosecutors say that she then shot him in the jaw.
After getting shot, the man ran to a nearby alley and called 911. Police said he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
Chapman was arrested at the scene and was later released from jail on a $15,000 bond, according to records from the Cook County State Attorney’s Office.
Chapman faces one count of attempted first-degree murder and is due in domestic violence court on April 24th.
