Joe Exotic may be granted a presidential pardon by President Donald Trump.
During a press conference at the White House, a reporter asked Trump whether he’d consider giving the imprisoned big cat owner a presidential pardon. Trump admitted that he had not watched the popular Netflix documentary by said that he would “take a look.”
His words come just days after the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., said in an interview on SiriusXM’s Jim Norton and Sam Roberts Show that he would petition for a pardon for Exotic.
A federal jury found Exotic guilty of trying to hire someone to kill animal rights activist Carole Baskin in November 2017. He was also charged with several wildlife violations. Exotic also recently filed a $94 million lawsuit against the county and several federal agencies who had a hand in his arrest and prison sentence.
He says he believes that Baskin should be behind bars for the alleged murder of her late husband, Don Lewis. Exotic says she fed him to her tigers.
