A man has admitted to the killing of Black Lives Matter activist, Oluwatoyin Salau and community volunteer, Vicki Sims.
According to newly released court documents, Aaron Glee Jr. waived his right to remain silent and told officers of the Tallahassee Police Department and the Orlando Police Department the details of his heinous crimes.
Glee says that he kept Salau a prisoner in his home for several days before raping her and eventually deciding to kill her to avoid getting caught.
“Glee would admit in detail that on different dates, he had kidnapped and murdered both (Salau) and Sims,” the report says per USA Today.
Glee told investigators he struck up a conversation with Salau on June 6 at a bus stop on Apalachee Parkway. She told him she had been sexually assaulted earlier in the day. She was taken back to his home. She showered and he attempted to have sex with her. She refused and he admits that he forced her. He had sex with her several times over the course of those few days before he eventually killed her by tying her up with rope in a way that would lead to her death.
Glee was arrested in Orlando but brought to Tallahassee. He’s facing two counts each of murder and kidnapping and one count of sexual assault. A judge ordered that he be held without bond.
