Their on-camera fights may make headlines, but Conservative cohost Meghan McCain says that it’s all love between her and her co-stars and even threatened to walk away from the show if Whoopi Goldberg, her perceived nemesis, ever left.
Weeks ago, Whoopi and Meghan were at the center of controversy after Whoopi became frustrated with her on-air and told Meghan to “please stop talking.”
During a recent interview visit to Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she dismissed the headlines and explained what occurred on that day.
“It was rough, and I will say that she was having a bad day,” Meghan explained. “We talked about it that night and the next day and… you know, it’s live TV, and it’s really intense stressful times for everyone. I adore her. She apologized off air, she apologized on air, we all f*ck up on the show. It’s live every day, and I forgive her, I love her.”
“If she leaves, I go,” she added. “Whoopi is the anchor of the show and my life there. She always picks us up when we’re down. If she’s gone… if she jumps I jump. I adore her, and I need her as the moderator.”
