Congratulations to Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burress and Todd Tucker – they welcomed their daughter Blaze into the world last night.
Todd and Kandi used a surrogate for their second child, and last night the little beauty was born.
Everyone is doing well, especially little Blaze who was born weighing 8 pounds and 1 ounce.
Here’s the mass text that Kandi put out to her fans, she seemed very excited:
Kandi also released a pic of baby Blaze, who was just too cute.
Kandi burst onto the music scene in the 1990s, as a singer and songwriter. After more than two decades of success in the music industry, Kandi became a television personality, actress, and business woman.
The Atlanta Housewife first began her career as a member of the R&B group Xscape. In 2000, she won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for her writing contributions on the TLC hit song “No Scrubs”.
In 2009, Kandi became an international superstar when she joined the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of Atlanta in its second-season.
Her journey with surrogacy has been documented on season 12 of RHOA.
Earlier this month, on the premiere, Burruss revealed that her surrogate was initially pregnant with twins, but one of the embryos was lost.
“We actually was supposed to be having twins, and then one of them didn’t continue,” Burruss explained, adding, “I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it.”
