FIVE ITEMS I’VE BEEN WEARING ON REPEAT //

Despite largely staying indoors, I have been trying my best to continue getting dressed up each day. For me it boosts my mood, makes me feel more creative, and keeps me more motivated to tackle the day. Does that mean that every day during quarantine I’ve put on real clothes, done my hair and make up? Umm, no. Most days I do go through the whole routine (and typically document it here) involving hair, make up, a cute outfit, and gasp, even adding jewelry. But, there have been those days when the forecast calls for sweats all day long. And, some days fall in between. I may decide I want to shower and get dressed but want to feel more comfortable and a bit more put together. Today is one of those days! Below you’ll see a five of the items that I’ve been wearing on repeat.

THIS PAIR OF PANTS // I bought these vintage green stretch twill pants awhile back during Shopbop’s famous “spend to get” sale. As mentioned, I picked them in green but after a serious love affair, I am considering adding the pink pair to my wardrobe. They are incredibly comfortable (they have a back e-waist) and I love the slight crop silhouette. I have mostly been wearing them with striped knits, but they look great with a tucked in woven as well! Shop them here and here. I will admit that they are on the pricey side, so if you are looking for something more budget friendly, I also love this option at $30 (in fact, I am wearing them today).

THESE SLIPPER SLIDES // Honestly, I kind of hate to admit how much I love these slippers. They are so incredibly comfortable, stay on easily, and even feature a rubber sole (so I may or may not wear them outside sometimes to go get the mail). They come in a huge array of color options as well. I wanted the leopard (LOL who am I) but they were sold out in my size, so I opted for the coral. Fun fact, I even got my Mom a pair so we can be FaceTime twins! Shop them here and here.

THE KNIT DRESS // Over the years I have picked up quite a few knit dresses from both Leith and Treasure & Bond. I mostly wear them on long travel days. Lately, I have found myself wearing them more and more around the house when I want to be cozy. If you want to avoid sweatpants, knit dresses are the next best thing! While many of the dresses I currently own are now sold out, I’d recommend this one, this one, and this one. All are priced under $50.

SPRING SHORTS // Apparently anything featuring an e-waist is on my go-to list right now. These cozy and casual shorts are on super sale over on J.Crew at the moment. I purchased the cotton version in navy and during this time of year, have found them to be the perfect alternative to jean shorts. FYI, J.Crew also makes a linen blend version in the same silhouette that is available in lots of fun colors. They look great with a pair of converse and easy tee or a long sleeve cotton sweater. I also love these smocked waist shorts in white!

A GOOD TANK // A good tank is hard to come by, but when you do find *the one* it can become the perfect item back to a pair of your favorite jeans, a printed skirt, or in my case this month, something e-waist. 🙂 This ribbed racerback tank has a great cut, excellent recovery (how well it stretches and holds it shape), and I love the dolphin hem. It is only $29 and you can shop it here!
