A nurse has quit her job – after being asked to care for Coronavirus patients. The nurse quit her job yesterday, on Instagram Live, and the video (which can be seen above) quickly went viral.
Nurse, who is named Melissa, is a 31 year old mother of five children. She also is a breast cancer survivor, so her immune system may be somewhat compromised.
Melissa explained to people on IG live, “I was sent to a Coronavirus floor [of the hospital]. They know that I have kids at home, who I cannot sent away.”
Mellissa then breaks down in tears, “[My manager] is evil. She knows my [breast cancer survivor] heath history. She knows that my kids don’t have anywhere to go to.”
Melissa then quits her job on Live. She says, I’m done, I’m leaving.
MTO News reached out to the hospital where Melissa works for comment. We have not received any response.
