These Are The Sheet Masks I Always Have On Hand

Skincare is highly subjective, but if there’s one thing we can all agree on, is that sheet masks are effective and essential. Here, my favourites and how to use them.

|

People have always asked about my skincare routine and the secret to keeping it all together, especially after constant long-haul flights. Facial? Massage? No. None of those. I believe in the power of sheet masks. No matter what country I’m in, you will find me well-equipped with a stack of them, because these things deliver hydration like no other. It’s equivalent to a mini-facial at home, one you can do anytime, anywhere.

There are different types of sheet masks that cater to different needs, but I find myself reaching for hydration all the time. From affordable everyday masks to luxurious, deep-moisturising types, these are my holy grail that I keep in my skincare rotation.

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask

For everyday use, this affordable mask by Innisfree is a surprising contender, and is my favourite for a boost of hydration. As it’s usually not heavy enough for drier climates, I tap the serum into the skin for five minutes upon removal, before washing it all off and finished off with my skincare routine.

JayJun Intensive Shining Mask

Up against the Innisfree sheet mask is another one that’s just as – and maybe more – hydrating: the JayJun Intensive Shining Mask. This ultra “juicy” mask comes attached with an essence and eye cream, just to lock in all that goodness. It’s super effective, and we stock up whenever we can, especially since it’s not available island-wide. Yet.

La Mer The Hydrating Facial

As flights usually drain the moisture out of your skin, I make it a habit to apply a sheet mask before one on the car ride there. This one by La Mer contains an essence so moisturising that it will melt away all your dry, peeling skin. You can use it before or after your skincare routine, as it cancels out the need for a moisturiser. Pat the excess in, and even layer another moisturiser if your skin feels ultra dehydrated.

For Beloved One Hyaluronic Acid GHK-Cu Moisturizing Bio-Cellulose Mask

On days where I feel like switching it up, I reach for the For Beloved One Hyaluronic Acid GHK-Cu Moisturizing Bio-Cellulose Mask. My favourite thing about this is how it melts away all signs of dry skin, moisturising and keeping it hydrated for hours on end. Just one time and you’ll feel the difference.

Clé de Peau Beauté Vitality-Enhancing Eye Mask Supreme

All of the above ones are amazing, but if you’re looking to target tired eyes and puffiness, the Cle de Peau Vitality-Enhancing Eye Mask Supreme does wonders in a flash. Just like how you have eye creams to rejuvenate and refresh, this mask serves the same purpose, just a thousand times better.
