There’s going to be another royal wedding! Less than a year after her sister Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank, Princess Beatrice has announced her engagement to businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The announcement was made on Sept. 26, through statement from the Duke and Duchess of York, with some sweet photos of the couple taken by Princess Eugenie.
Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi became engaged in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020. This photograph was taken by Princess Eugenie in Italy.

A statement from the couple reads: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”
Beatrice and Edo (as he is reportedly known) began dating in 2018. Before that, Beatrice dated Dave Clark for 10 years, while Edo has a young son from a previous relationship. Beatrice and Edo made things public when they attended the Portrait Gala in March of this year. They went on to attend a number of high-profile events together throughout the Summer, and in late July, the biggest hint at an upcoming announcement came when bookmakers Ladbrokes suspended betting on their engagement. We didn’t have to wait too much longer for the exciting news that they are indeed set to tie the knot.
In true royal tradition, the couple won’t have a long engagement. Usually royal nuptials happen less than a year after the engagement announcement, and the statement confirmed that the wedding will take place some time in 2020.
