LA LIGNE MARIN SWEATER – Atlantic-Pacific

An ode to the La Ligne Marin Sweater! This particular style has been a long time favorite of mine. So much so that, in the dead of summer, I’m writing a whole post on the style! As a stripe lover this style initially caught my eye years ago. Once I bought my first one, I was hooked.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE MARIN SWEATER

What makes this sweater so great? The Marin sweater is a 7-ply wool cashmere blend that feels incredibly soft and rich. The thicker gauge gives the sweater a bit of heft and I love the thicker ribbing at the crew neck and cuffs.

I find the fit to be divine. It is slightly oversized with a slightly longer length, but isn’t overwhelming. The cuffs are nicely fitted, making it easy to push up the sleeves. The crew neck is perfect as it sits close to the neck without making you feel you are being strangled. Last but not least, I love the engineered stripe layout and all of the unique color combinations. There are currently 11 combos in the Marin and they are such a great mix of timeless combinations and unexpected, editorial hues. Bonus points: you can also monogram this style!

OTHER LA LIGNE FAVORITES

While La Ligne is known for the Marin style, they have so much more to offer. When you think of the brand you may think knitwear, but don’t sleep on their dress selection, it is beautiful. You can see how I styled one of their dresses recently here. This dress is next up on my list as I love the print cut with stripe binding.

While we aren’t exactly in sweater weather right now, I do love the Marin to throw over my shoulders at night. We were recently in Bellport, NY where temps can dip into the 60’s at night and the Marin became my perfect evening accessory on walks to dinner. However, if you are looking for a more lightweight summer sweater be sure to check out this roll neck sweater in cotton.

HOW TO STYLE THE MARIN SWEATER

Now onto how to style the La Ligne Marin Sweater!

Being a Florida Gator I live for an orange and blue moment. I would pair this orange and blue Marin sweater with these pants, these platform fisherman sandals, my favorite under $20 shades and these earrings!

Next up a neutral statement look! The cut of this sweater looks incredible back to a mini skirt like this one. I would complete the look with this bag, these mules, this necklace and these sunnies.

For a casual weekend look I would wear this sweater with a great pair of poplin e-waist shorts, an easy slide, cat eye sunglasses and a great shoulder bag in this pop blue.

Peachy keen! This color combo is one of my favorites. I would wear this sweater with this pair of colored denim, a straw hat and sandals to match the pop of orange.
