Who Is Reneé Rapp Dating?

Reneé Rapp is seemingly everywhere. The star, who released her debut album “Snow Angel” on Aug. 18, has steadily been making headlines over the years for her Broadway and TV roles, which include Regina George in Broadway’s “Mean Girls: The Musical” — which she’ll reprise on screen in the forthcoming movie musical — and Leighton Murray in “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” which she publicly exited in July. Now, she’s officially launched her music career, catapulting her to even greater notoriety and, naturally, sparking increased interest in her romantic life.

For Rapp, all the speculation has been a mixed bag. “I see so much about my love life online. Some of it is totally funny and doesn’t affect me, and others of it really, really f*cking hurts my feelings,” she told People in an Aug. 18 feature. “Trying to figure out how to deal with it. It’s definitely something that I struggle with and that will keep me up at night, and also something that I can laugh at some days. It just really depends. A lot of the things though are f*cking crazy and hilarious and also very hurtful.”

Rapp went on to reflect on her current relationship status. “I swore up and down I would never be in a public relationship and then I just found someone who I really loved and made me feel really safe and comfortable,” she said. “So then I started posting with this person, and then it became a whole thing. Now I’m like, f*ck, I have to deal with the consequences of my own actions of publicly co-signing someone as my partner.”

Rapp did not confirm who she was speaking about in the interview, though on Aug. 5, she shared a TikTok of herself affectionately cozying up to TikToker Alissa Carrington, fueling dating rumors. The pair were first linked in January, when Carrington shared a birthday tribute to the star on Instagram.

Rapp previously told The Cut that she was in a “queer relationship” in an Aug. 1 interview. And while she’s remained pretty quiet about the details of her romantic history, she definitely opens up about her experiences with love on “Snow Angel.”

“All the songs I write obviously are about things that I’ve been through personally, but I think that any relationship I’ve ever had in my life is all culminated into one on this project and in these songs. I love relationships. I love so hard,” she told People. “I am very protective of the people that I love. I’m very protective of myself, and all of these situations were taken from relationships that I had, whether they be good or bad.”
