Wait, are Beyoncé and Cardi B best friends now? If they’re not, yet, then they’re well on their way thanks to Beyoncé sending the “Hot Sh*t” rapper flowers and a sweet note for her 30th birthday. Cardi shared a video of the white-rose arrangement alongside the handwritten note in a since-expired Instagram Story on Oct. 14 that was shared by fans on Twitter.
Bey’s note read, “Happy Birthday! I hope you had a beautiful day. All my love. God bless, B.” This is the second time the iconic singer has celebrated Cardi turning 30. In September, she sent the Grammy winner a vinyl copy of her latest album, “Renaissance,” signed with a personal message. “To: Cardi B,” Beyoncé wrote. “Hard working, beautiful and talented queen, thank you for always supporting me. Sending so much love to you and yours. Respect, Beyoncé.”
At the time, Cardi posted a video of her gift on Twitter, where she thanked Beyoncé for sending her something so special. “Look what Beyoncé sent me, read it b*tch,” Cardi said. “It’s so beautiful, so lovely. I’m gonna put it in a glass frame with laser beams on it. Anybody who gets motherf*cking next to it is gonna get electrocuted on motherf*cking sight.”
She went on to add, “I just wanna say thank you so much. I feel so special.”
Cardi was just as excited over the second gift she received from Bey as she was for the first one. “At this point, I’m about to pull up to her house with some vegan cupcakes or something,” she joked.
In addition to getting two gifts from Beyoncé, Cardi also celebrated her 30th birthday with a burlesque-themed party in Los Angeles. Guests included Jamie Foxx, Chance the Rapper, Tyga, GloRilla, and Chloe and Halle Bailey. While there are no reports of Bey being in attendance, her double birthday gift makes it clear she was there in spirit.
