Dame Dash has responded to Roc-A-Fella after the company sued him over a plan to auction a Reasonable Doubt NFT.
The lawsuit reads, “Dash can’t sell what he doesn’t own. By attempting such a sale, Dash has converted a corporate asset and has breached his fiduciary duties. The court should stop Dash….and hold him accountable for his brazen theft.”
Dame says he was not trying to sell the NFT — but his portion of the company.
According to TMZ, Dash claims that Jay-Z tried to buy his one-third share of Roc-A-Fella in March. Dame said the price was not high enough, telling the outlet it was “a price I deemed unacceptable.” He did not reveal how much he was offered.
“Under the terms of the deal with a potential buyer, the buyer would buy my share of Roc a Fella Records and Jay-Z will have exclusive administration rights.”
Dame appears to want to walk away from his ties to Jay-Z once and for all.
