According to the Tallahassee police, the vehicle was following him and his entourage before opening fire.
Kodak was in Tallahassee to headline at the Cultur3Fest, and his entourage were leaving Baja’s Beach Club on Pensacola Street when they were followed by several vehicles. The vehicles then attempted to cut them off before opening fire. The security guard was shot in the leg.

“We are aware of the incident that happened on the street in front of our restaurant,” McDonald’s owner Raphael Vazquez wrote via the Tallahassee Democrat. “Our biggest priority is always the safety and well-being of our employees and customers. We are fully cooperating with the Tallahassee Police Department, who will provide all updates on this investigation.”
