ESPN has fired NBA analyst Paul Pierce after he published several Instagram videos of himself smoking marijuana surrounded by several half-naked women who looked like strippers.
He looked as if he were having a great time.
Pierce was a regular contributor to “NBA Countdown” and “The Jump.”
According to The Post, ESPN was upset that Pierce chose to upload the videos on his own. If he had been filmed doing the same activities and they became public by someone else, he may have kept his job.

Pierce played in the NBA from 1998-2017, almost solely for the Celtics. The 10-time All-Star helped Boston earn a title in 2008, when he was named the Finals MVP, and averaged nearly 22 points and six rebounds per game over his 15 seasons with the team. Pierce then ended his impressive career with short stints on the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers.
ESPN has not yet released a public statement about Pierce’s firing.
