Check Out the Lineup For POPSUGAR’s Girl Talk Event

As if we weren’t already thrilled to join an empowering conversation with Michelle Obama and the Girls Opportunity Alliance at POPSUGAR’s upcoming Girl Talk event, we’re about to drop a majorly star-studded lineup of musical performers and special guests that’ll have you texting your group chat faster than you can say knowledge is our superpower.

Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star Sofia Wylie will be hosting the one-hour virtual event on Thursday, March 25, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, which will include a keynote conversation between Mrs. Obama and two incredibly inspiring students from the Girls Opportunity Alliance, Sonali Pathak and Turipamue Kazohua, moderated by talk show host Lilly Singh. A part of the Obama Foundation, the Girls Opportunity Alliance was established to empower adolescent girls through education by supporting grassroots organizations around the world that work to remove the barriers that hold girls back.

The night is guaranteed to be inspirational, educational, and fun, with interactive Q&As, a musical performance by the one and only Kelly Clarkson, and some seriously next-level special guests like Black-ish star Marsai Martin, Moana‘s Auli’i Cravalho, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, star of Mindy Kaling’s Never Have I Ever.

Oh yeah, and did we mention celebrity appearances from Alicia Keys, Orlando Bloom, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Demi Lovato, Shonda Rhimes, and, ahem, Meryl Streep? That’s just a handful of the famous friends joining this unforgettable event. Get the full list and details below!

A Conversation With Michelle Obama

Join us for an impactful conversation as Lilly Singh and Michelle Obama sit down with two students from the Girls Opportunity Alliance community, Sonali Pathak and Turipamue Kazohua, who will share what education was like for them during the pandemic and how the Girls Opportunity Alliance has helped them to keep learning safely. Mrs. Obama will also talk about what makes girls so special and why it’s crucial we educate our girls around the world.

Getting Schooled With Marsai Martin

Black-ish star Marsai Martin is teaching a new course: Stepping Into Your Power 101! Join Marsai as she talks about how to override that little voice of doubt in the back of your head, and how she reclaims her own power when she feels nervous, scared, or doubtful.

3 Ways to Dream Big With Auli’i Cravalho

Join Auli’i Cravalho as she shares why it’s so important for young girls to dream big. She’ll let us in on some insight that has taken her on the adventure of a lifetime — from getting to play Moana alongside The Rock to figuring out how to chart her next course.
