Dr. Dre is asking the judge to grant him with “single status” amid his divorce with estranged wife Nicole Young.
Dre’s attorney Laura Wasser filed a motion for bifurcation, the attorney says that Nicole’s “false allegations of domestic violence” demonstrate that their union is beyond repair.
In Cali, courts may allow parties to request a bifurcation, which essentially gives the Court the leeway to grant a divorce before other outstanding issues are resolved.

Dre is rumored to be dating Apryl Jones.
Dre has denied all allegations of violence, but Young says he held a gun to her head on two separate occasions in 2000 and 2001. She also alleges that he punched her face twice and kicked down the door of a room she had been “hiding from his rage in 2016.”
Last week, a judge denied her request for an emergency restraining order, saying he needs more evidence. Nicole says she has received death threats.
