Meghan Markle is staying true to her word. Despite the fact that she is no longer a working royal, the Duchess of Sussex said she would remain committed to her patronages, and she has. On Tuesday, Smart Works — one of the two patronages Meghan is still a patron of — shared a handful of handwritten notes she recently penned to women who are job hunting.

“In celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, our Patron, The Duchess of Sussex took a moment to send some words of encouragement to a few of our clients,” the organization wrote on Instagram. “Written by The Duchess, several personal notes were delivered to our centre earlier this week, and then dispatched to our clients, to give them that extra piece of encouragement as they return to the workplace.”

In one letter written to a client who recently got a job in health, the duchess wrote, “I wanted to offer my personal congratulations on landing a new position in public health — I can’t think of anything more important right now. And I’m so pleased to know that Smart Works supported you in the lead-up to your successful job interview.” In another note written to a client ahead of a job interview, Meghan penned, “I wanted to write personally to wish you every success in your upcoming interview. While any interview can feel daunting, I know that Smart Works has enabled you with the confidence to thrive throughout the process . . . You’ll be amazing in your interview! Just remember — deep breath and be yourself.”

In honor of International Women’s Day, Meghan also shared some inspiring words for students at England’s Robert Clack School after visiting the school last year, and she and Prince Harry are encouraging people to perform acts of compassion for the women in their lives through their Archewell foundation.
