Tekashi 6ix9ine has been hit with yet another lawsuit — this time, producers have accused the rapper of ripping off his single, “GOOBA”, — which was released n April 2020.
The song reached number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Producer Beat Demons from Texas said the track is a ‘mirror’ of their song “Regular.”
Beat Demons the song rips off their melody, form, structure and function of “GOOBA.” They are now demanding millions be paid to them from the single’s profits.
This year alone, Tekashi has also faced lawsuits from a security firm who claims he woes them $75,000 in unpaid security fees, and a lawsuit from a stripper who says he threw a bottle at her.
His lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, says there is evidence he did not throw the bottle.
“There are video cameras in the establishment. It’s an attempt to shake him down,” his lawyer said of the incident. “If he is served properly, we will immediately move to have it dismissed.”
