E! announced an upcoming True Hollywood Story based on Cardi B’s — but Cardi says she has nothing to do with the doc.
“I love E! and I always been grateful for all the love but I did not approve of the E Hollywood Story. My life is my story. How can someone tell my story without asking me?” She tweeted.
She added, “But hey maybe the story will be good IDK 🤷🏽♀️ I mean I haven’t seen it .However I would love to tell my story myself when I’m ready. I been thru & influenced by a lot of bad sh*t since a teenager That when I’m ready I will like to talk about.”
Before becoming a rapper Cardi worked as a stripper. Some of her former customers have come forward to allege that Cardi was also a prostitute. Cardi denies ever being a prostitute.

This week, Cardi B’s debut single, “Bodak Yellow,” was certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America after selling 10 million units.
Cardi is the first female rapper to achieve a diamond single award, according to the RIAA. According to the RIAA, one equivalent song unit is equal to a single digital song sale, or 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams. Cardi’s collab “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, went 5x multi-platinum status.
