Debra Antney: I Thought Safaree Was Nicki Minaj’s Gay Friend!!

Debra Antey used to manage Nicki Minaj before she blew up — and in a recent interview, she claimed she thought that Nicki’s then-boyfriend Safaree Samuels was gay.

“I thought he was a gay guy that she hung out with,” she said on Drink Champs. “When I was booking her out, she’d be like, ‘Deb, I need two rooms.’ But the two rooms wasn’t for him because she would get dressed in the other room. I didn’t know that they were together. I never knew until he took my car from her and she called me to lock him up. And then he called me and that’s when he broke down everything.”

Safaree recently announced that he would be divorcing his wife, Erica Mena, in a message posted to his Twitter account.

“I mean this from the bottom of my heart getting married was 1 of my BIGGEST mistakes and it will never happen again. I’m walking away before I End up in jail over some dumb sh*t. Nobody is worth my freedom!!!” he tweeted.

Erica Mena agreed that their marriage is over.
