Amelia Hamlin Denies ‘Blackfishing’: ‘I Tan Very Easily’

Amelia Hamlin, the daughter of Beverly Hills Housewife Lisa Rinna and girlfriend of Scott Disick — has denied allegations of blackfishing following a recent Instagram post.

She says she just tans easily.

Blackfishing was coined by journalist Wanna Thompson to describe non-Black (mostly white) people who might modify their hair, skin tone features with products to appear Black.

Fans noticed that Amelia appears several shades darker in the new pics that she usually does in her posts. Her fans do not believe it is just a tan… but she says it is.

“I’m receiving a lot of comments in regards to my latest photo,” she wrote. “I am being told that I am ‘black fishing.'”

She continued: “Thank you all for educating me on this topic. I recently went on vacation in the sun, and with my Italian heritage I tan very easily. There is no self tanner involved. Or intention of looking darker than my own natural skin color.”
