In a few short weeks, we will have officially been in our Florida house for a full year! We have spent the last few months trying to get organized and tackle all the little bits of our house that we haven’t finished decorating. There are quite a few spaces that were in desperate need of some organization help – most notable our office (also my ‘spillover’ closet).
After making the decision to turn one of the guest bedrooms into an office area, the first step was to create a more useable space. I don’t like clutter or open shelving, so we landed on building floor to ceiling built-in cabinets on the back wall, which instantly created lots of storage space for all of my “stuff”. In thinking about organizational solutions for inside, I wanted to be practical – but also stylish – and of course, needed to see lots of options. Enter Wayfair! Ultimately, I landed on pairing blush fabric bins (these come in 8 colors and two sizes) with this wicker basket set. It was important that any bins of baskets be lightweight, and easy to move, store, and carry. The fabric bins are foldable and the wicker baskets are stackable, which is perfect! I’m often moving bins from one room to the next or rearranging the cabinet space set up based on current needs. I also ended up buying a few of these larger wicker baskets for odds and ends and a few really amazing desk organizers. I love this solid grey one and these interior colored desk organizers that we are currently using.
