A judge has denied a request from Lori Loughlin’s husband, Mossimo Giannulli, to be released from prison.
Despite his team arguing that he is sick and citing COVID-19 risks — the judge says he has not seen any evidence to back up their arguments for early release.
“Although defendant’s quarantine was longer than anticipated, he has since been released to the general population and has given no extraordinary or compelling reason why his current circumstances in the camp warrant immediate release,” the document reads.

The judge went on to state that the designer had been given the five-month sentence in connection with the college admissions scandal “to dissuade and deter others who may, like Giannulli, believe that because they can afford it, they can flout the law. Modifying or reducing defendant’s sentence in this case would undercut any such deterrence.”
Giannulli and Loughlin pleaded guilty to have their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella, fraudulently accepted into the University of Southern California — paying up to $500,000 in bribes. He allegedly photographed his daughters, who posed on rowing machines for their fake coxswain profiles.
