As part of its third annual Power Women Summit, TheWrap has just released its first ChangeMakers List: Women Who Saved Entertainment in 2020!
The ChangeMakers list shines the spotlight on women who have made a major impact on the entertainment industry, which has slowed and been forced to adapt amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some of the big names to make the list include Regina King, Sophia Loren, Selena Gomez, Margot Robbie, Savannah Guthrie, Megan Thee Stallion and Charli D’Amelio.
Bold female execs, producers, and directors who made stories that matters were also honored.
In a statement, Sharon Waxman, CEO of TheWrap, said, “In rising to meet the unprecedented challenges of this year, the thirty women on this list have transcended their roles as entertainers, leaders and performers. As cultural second responders they’ve changed the way we think about and consume the entertainment that shapes our lives. But even more importantly, they’ve changed how we relate to one another.”
