You’re Not Walking on Clouds, It’s These Really Fluffy Shoes

Never mind rain or shine, these furry, fuzzy footwear are impossible to say no to.

Does one ever outgrow teddy bears? Or does our adolescent’s fixation with fuzzy, fluffy plushies take other forms with maturity?

How else can one explain the obsession with furry shoes? For one, they aren’t the most practical choice for footwear – especially not when you live in a part of the world where you’re at the mercy of the blazing heat for the most part of the year. And we reckon, they won’t come in very handy in the rain or snowfall either. Not that these concerns have stopped us from wearing them.

An ex-colleague once held her Old Celine fur-lined slides in hand and trudged on barefoot when it came down pouring unexpectedly. Ah, the lengths we would go all in the name of fashion.

The unfortunate run-ins with bad weather aside, the allure of these fuzzies for the feet largely lie in its undeniable comfort. It’s like walking on a cloud – certainly an appealing proposition considering the creatures of comfort we’ve become. Given that these slides and sliced loafers leave plenty of breathing room, they aren’t that bad of an idea come rain or shine.
