The 2020 Billboard Music Awards have kicked off!
Airing live from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, this year’s pandemic-era awards show is hosted by Kelly Clarkson for the third year in a row.
Post Malone leads the pack heading into tonight’s event — the rapper is nominated for a whopping 16 awards, including Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album for “Hollywood’s Bleeding” and Top Rap Song for his tracks “Wow” and “Sunflower (‘Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse.’)”
Close behind Post are first-time nominees Lil Nas X, who is nominated for 13 awards, and Billie Eilish, who is up for 12. Singer Khalid is tied with Eilish with 12 noms, followed by Lizzo, who is nominated for 11 awards tonight.
Rapper-turned-Gospel artist Kanye West is nominated for nine awards for his “Jesus Is King” album, including four out of five slots in the Top Gospel Song category.
TooFab will be updating the list of winners as the awards are given out!
