Actress Lily Collins, 31, and director Charlie McDowell, 37, have gotten more serious in their relationship!
On Friday, Collins announced that they are engaged! Along with posting a series of pics, she wrote, “I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…”
It is unknown where Charlie popped the question, but it looks like he proposed in a secluded location surrounded by nature.
Just a month ago, the pair enjoyed a camping trip in California. He posted a pic, writing on Instagram, “The trees in Central and Northern California will make you realize we are on this planet as their guests. My thoughts are prayers are with anyone affected by these fires. And sending strength and resilience to these beautiful trees.”
The news comes over a year after the couple made it official on Instagram.
Last summer, Lily confirmed their relationship with a pic of herself leaning on Charlie, whose face is not shown. She wrote, “Always got your back…”
While she didn’t tag him in the pic, Collins made sure to tag him in an Instagram Story pic. Along a pic of Charlie looking outside, she wrote, “When he’s only just left but it feels like forever…I miss you already.”
Lily and Charlie first sparked romance rumors after they were spotted cozying up to each other on a stroll in Los Angeles, in photos obtained by DailyMail.com.
Lily and Charlie both have very famous parents — Lily’s father is singer Phil Collins, while Charlie’s parents are Malcolm McDowell and actress Mary Steenburgen.
