Tekashi 6ix9ine is determined not to go down as rap’s only snitch, and during a recent interview with Billboard, claimed that T.I. may have snitched to get out of prison early.
“A lot of these rappers are snitches, but people don’t want to accept that, right? I don’t know the brother T.I., right? But I can understand that he’s not comfortable with his truth,” Tekashi said.
In 2007, T.I. was arrested on federal gun charges just hours before he was scheduled to perform at the BET Hip Hop Awards. The rapper was arrested in a federal sting after his bodyguard (who had become an informant) delivered three machine guns and two silencers to him.
The rapper is a convicted felon after being convicted on felony drug charges in 1998 and had previous gun charges.
“How did T.I. do one year? They don’t want a reason to like me. They want a reason to hate me. So at the end of the day, if you say, ‘Yo. He was kidnapped, but he put himself [in those situations],’ that’s not fair.”
