Tekashi 6ix9ine has Twitter up in arms after he compared Tupac’s Shakur’s sexual assault offense with his own 2015 sex crime charge against a 13-year-old girl.
“Tupac Shakur was convicted of rape,” he told the New York Times, “Is Tupac Shakur loved or hated? Loved! What’s the difference between me and Tupac Shakur? I never caught a rape charge — ever.”
He continued, “This is one of his biggest songs,” he said of Pac’s “Troublesome ’96.”
“What’s the difference between that and “Billy”? “A born leader, never leave the crib without my heater!” You’re telling me he gave back through his art? You’re lying to me. I got to feed what, in 2020, is relevant. I got to feed the masses. There’s no difference between me and Tupac Shakur.”
A bold statement to make and social media did not appreciate the comparisons from Tekashi. Take a look at some of the reactions below.
