Word on the street is that R&B singer Usher got into a fist fight with R&B singer The Weeknd, and Usher WON. MTO News has been hearing reports for months that the two superstars have had “beef” behind the scenes.
And if the rumors are true, Usher really put a brutal beating on his R&B rival. Yesterday paparazzi caught up with The Weeknd, and MTO News confirmed that he looks real bad. The Toronto crooner stepped out yesterday showing two black eyes, a popped lip and a busted nose.

So how was Usher able to beat him so badly? Well Usher’s been boxing for years. Six years ago, he picked up the sport while filming a bio-pic on boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.
And Usher’s been boxing ever since . Look at him (with super-trainer Don Saxby) in action:
Here’s the background of the singer’s beef, which MTO News was able to uncover. The beef between the two artists went public last Spring, when The Weeknd gave an interview to Variety and the Toronto singer claimed that Usher’s 2012 hit “Climax” was stolen from him.
According to the “Blinding Lights” singer, “Climax” sounded like his own work, which some took as a diss to Usher.
The Weeknd explained, “I heard Climax,’ that [2012] Usher song, and was like, ‘Holy f–k, that’s a Weeknd song,’” he’d said. “It was very flattering, and I knew I was doing something right, but I also got angry. But the older I got, I realized it’s a good thing.”
