The Los Angeles Lakers and The Clippers have voted to boycott the remainder of the season following the shooting shooting of Jacob Blake.
Blake was shot seven times in his back at close range by a white police officer as he was trying to enter his own vehicle.
According to CNN, three NBA playoff games were postponed after the Milwaukee Bucks decided not to take the floor against the Orlando Magic as players took a stand with their Bucks counterparts. Three WNBA, five Major League Soccer and three Major League Baseball games were also postponed.
The NBA will be reportedly holding a special Board of Governors meeting on Thursday morning to discuss what will become of the current season.
“There were a lot of emotions in the meeting rather than coming up with a solution, but I think tomorrow will be better,” an unnamed player told reporter Jeff Goodman. “I’m confident we will play, but tomorrow is a big meeting.”
