New charges could be on the way for Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.
Federal prosecutors in Maxwell’s criminal case rare reportedly urging a judge to block her from filing newly obtained information in civil cases against her.
“As the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York has stated publicly, the investigation into the conduct of the defendant in this case and other possible co-conspirators of Jeffrey Epstein remains active,” prosecutors wrote in the letter.
“The full scope and details of that investigation, however, have not been made public,” they added.
Maxwell is a former girlfriend and business associate of Epstein, who committed suicide last year in a Manhattan jail cell while facing charges he trafficked underage girls for sex. Maxwell is charged with helping Epstein sexually abuse girls.
