Nas has denied that his song, “Ultra Black,” was meant to be a diss to pop singer, Doja Cat.
On the track, Nas raps:
“Sometimes I’m over-Black, even my clothes are black/Cash Money with the white tee and the soldier rag/We going ultra Black, unapologetically Black/The opposite of Doja Cat, Michael Blackson Black.”
Recently, Nas said that the lyrics were not meant as a diss to Doja.
“I just was really saying a rhyme that rhymed with ‘Ultra Black,'” Nas said during a recent interview. “I didn’t even think of it, you know what I’m saying? It’s all love. It was just like, ‘Michael Blackson, Black,'” he added. “It’s bars, it’s lines. We play with words. The song is fun. It’s about having a good time.”
Last week, Doja revealed that she is planning to drop a track, with the acronym N.A.S. — fans speculated that there could be a few choice words in it for the Queen rapper.
