A blow to Kanye West’s presidential “walk” after Wisconsin refused to accept his petition to appear on the ballot for the 2020 November elections.
According to NBC News, the state’s election board ruled that his application was submitted too late. The commission voted 5-1 to reject West’s petition because his petition signatures were delivered shortly after the state’s 5 p.m. deadline.
The committee voted more than two-and-a-half hours into its meeting to reject West’s attempt to be on the ballot. It is likely that West will appeal the decision.
West pretty much confirmed to Forbes in an interview weeks back that he knew he could not win the election, but wanted to take votes away from Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. He referred to his presidential run as a “walk.”
Since Trump’s been in office, Ye has boated about his large tax returns. Simply put, Trump’s presidency has been profitable for the rapper.
