Kanye West is not a fan of the content over at TikTok — and is thinking about creating a platform titled “Jesus Tok” as an alternative.
“WE PRAY WE CAN COLLABORATE WITH TIK TOK TO MAKE A CHRISTIAN MONITORED VERSION THAT FEELS SAFE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE WORLD IN JESUS NAME AMEN,” he tweeted.
“A VISION JUST CAME TO ME… JESUS TOK I WAS WATCHING TIK TOK WITH MY DAUGHTER AND AS A CHRISTIAN FATHER I WAS DISTURBED BY A LOT OF THE CONTENT BUT I COMPLETELY LOVED THE TECHNOLOGY,” he continued.
The idea was met with mixed reviews online. Many felt that Ye’s idea would be a boring one.
Last week, President Trump issued an executive order giving ByteDance 90 days to either sell or spin-off its TikTok business in the US.
“There is credible evidence that leads me to believe that ByteDance … might take action that threatens to impair the national security of the United States,” Trump wrote in the order, citing national security concerns.
