Tekashi 6ix9ine faced backlash last week after he posted a video of himself kneeling in front of a Nipsey Hussle mural — he denies he meant any disrespect.
“I love Nipsey. You saw I paid respect. I got on my knee. I love Nipsey, you heard? Just like we love Biggie, that’s it. That’s all it is,” he told T.M.Z.
Last week, Nipsey fans accused the rapper of posting the video for clout. T.D.E. rapper Reason also took to social media to call out the rapper.
“Aye bro, it’s a video already out, you were there for 60 seconds for this and got escorted by police back to the car,” Reason wrote. “Troll all you want, but leave our legend out of it.”
Earlier this month, Tekashi angered fans by calling out dead rappers.
“Why your favorite rapper dead right now with bullet holes in his face?” he said. “Why y’all favorite rappers getting shot in the f*cking face and all that? Huh?,” he continued, adding, “Y’all ain’t gonna R.I.P. me!” or put him on a t-shirt.
