Actor Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger’s bundle of joy has arrived!
Sources confirm to People magazine that Katherine is “doing well” after giving birth to a baby girl.
The insider said, “They knew they were having a girl and were thrilled about it. Kat had a good pregnancy and she is hoping for a quick recovery. So far, so good. She is going through all the first-time mom emotions. She is extremely happy, but a bit tired and overwhelmed. Chris keeps being amazing though. It’s comforting for Kat that he is already a dad and understands how it is to have a newborn.”
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple’s “families couldn’t meet the baby at the hospital.”
The insider elaborated, “As soon as Kat and the baby got home from the hospital, Maria and Arnold visited. They are both proud grandparents, of course. They also visited over the weekend. Maria is making sure that Kat has everything she needs.”
Just a week ago, Pratt posted a pic of himself with Katherine on a hike, writing on Instagram, “Ready to pop / still don’t stop.”
In May, Chris opened up to “Extra’s” Billy Bush in his first TV interview since news broke that they were expecting.
Joking about pregnancy cravings, Chris told Billy, “It’s been tough. Pickles and ice cream… I never thought I would like ’em.”
On a serious note, he shared, “Can I be honest with you? I found myself complaining the other day about a little bit of low back and hip pain and how in quarantine I’ve gained a little weight… and she just looked at me sweetly. I was like… ‘Oh, right, right, I don’t really get to complain about that to you right now, do I?’”
Chris and Katherine tied the knot on June 8, 2019.
Chris is also the father of 7-year-old Jack, his son with ex-wife Anna Faris.
