‘Bachelor’ Alum Vanessa Grimaldi Engaged — Who’s the Lucky Guy?

“The Bachelor” alum Vanessa Grimaldi and her boyfriend Josh Wolfe are engaged!

On Sunday, Wolfe popped the question atop the St. Louis Gate in Quebec City after more than a year of dating.

Vanessa admitted of the “intimate beautiful moment” that she wasn’t expecting it! She explained to People magazine, “I knew we were going to get engaged eventually, but I had no idea it was going to happen when it did. Josh is the first person I am with where I am at complete ease and where I never second-guessed his love for me. I’ve been ready to say YES! I am the luckiest woman!”

Wolfe got down on one knee with a 1-carat oval diamond set on a 18K gold band designed by Teresa and Sons.

After Wolfe decided to slide into her DMs, they agreed to meet for a date in New York City.

Grimaldi gushed about her beau, who also lives in Montreal, “I feel at home whenever I am with Josh. His love and affection for his family is something I’ve always admired about him and what I’ve always looked for in a partner.”

I love how much he values family and that he loves spending quality time all together,” Vanessa continued. “That is how we both were raised and one of the many reasons I grew a strong connection with him from the beginning. Who knew my person was living in the same city as me all these years!”

As for how Josh knew she was the one he wanted to marry, he revealed, “I knew Vanessa was the one after the first Sunday lunch I had with her family in Saint Leonard. It was then that I realized just how important family was to her, as it is to me. I felt so welcomed, and just grateful at the idea that they may one day become my extended family. I felt like I was at home. Also, the first time she made me her pasta sauce. It’s something else!”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their wedding plans may be on hold for a while. She said, “Younger Vanessa would have wanted a typical Italian wedding: big and lots of guests. Now, I envision something small, simple and intimate with my closest friends and family.”

Would she ever want a TV wedding? She said, “I love having memories we can look back. I most definitely want a private and intimate wedding and for parts of it to be recorded for us to keep as a memory and for our future children to see one day.”

Grimaldi previously got engaged on TV to Nick Viall on Season 21 of “The Bachelor.” They called it quits in 2017. At the time, they told E!, “It’s with a great amount of heartbreak for the both us as we have decided to end our engagement. We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairytale ending we hoped for. We will continue to be there for each other no matter what. This hasn’t been an easy decision, however, as we part ways, we do so with lots of love and admiration for each other.”
