4 Essentials That Will Pave the Way to Better Sleep at Night

4 Essentials That Will Pave the Way to Better Sleep at Night

We’re telling you, there’s a pretty good chance these additions to your sleep routine might just change your life forever.

I’ve had some of my best sleeps at spas. These aren’t the deep eight-hour slumbers that you fall into after a really long day. We’re talking 20-minute to an hour long cat-naps drawn short by a facialist’s tap on the shoulder. I have woken up from these short snoozes feeling brand new and more alive than I have from a full night’s sleep. The sleep nazis will have you know that seven to eight hours is an absolute must every night but there’s more to getting well-rested shut eye than just clocking in the hours. This, you might already have gathered from personal experience.

Science will also have you know that when it comes to sleep, quality outweighs quantity. Your body needs to go into the REM and deep sleep zones for you to wake up feeling like you’ve had sufficient rest. And naturally, this happens when your mind and body are at ease – just as it would be at a spa. In an ideal world, the interiors of our humble abodes would take after that of, say, COMO Uma Canggu in Bali. Having an in-house masseuse would be an added plus but not all of us take after the Kardashian last name and such luxuries in life.

How do we bring the spa-like sensibilities into our homes, then? We’ve put together four super easy additions-slash-switcheroos you can easily make to your sleep routine. These will relax the senses and facilitate that uninterrupted, deep state of sleep that all adults dream of.
