Twitter Roasts Ne-Yo After He Called George Floyd’s Death ‘A Sacrifice’

Theses are sensitive times we’re living in, and Ne-Yo learned that lesson the hard way after he referred to George Floyd’s death as “a sacrifice,” while speaking at his funeral.

“50 states are protesting at the same time, this man changed the world,” he said. “I just want to thank George Floyd for the sacrifice so my kids can be alright. I appreciate the sacrifice, I really do.”

Chauvin is now being charged with second-degree murder, is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday afternoon and is being held on $1 million bail at the state prison in Oak Park Heights.

Floyd was killed by a police officer who kneeled on his next for almost 9 minutes, and although the singer’s attempt was not to cause any offense to Floyd or his family — Twitter let him have it.
