Rapper Iggy Azalea’s secret is out!
On Wednesday, Azalea, 30, revealed that she welcomed a baby boy with boyfriend Playboi Carti. She wrote on Instagram, “I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.”
“I want to make his life private, but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret and I love him beyond words,” Iggy continued.
The news comes just two months after she denied baby rumors. At the time, she tweeted, “It would be so great if you stopped paying any mind to random tea pages.”
In May, rumors were swirling that Iggy had given birth to her first child after Artist DJ Akademiks posted a meme on Instagram. He said, “Congrats to Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti on the birth of their son this past weekend.”
Akademiks added, “Talked to some ppl…. allegedly this is true. Congrats to #playboicarti and #iggyazalea if it is.”
Iggy recently showed off her post-baby body on Instagram. Along with a pic of herself in a purple dress, she wrote, “For the record, I didn’t actually go anywhere. Just a lil harmless quarantine dress up situation. 😝.”
Last year, Iggy and Playboi sparked engagement rumors after she posted a pic of a huge ring on her left finger. Around that time, Playboi opened up on their relationship, telling Fader, “Once I started talking to her, I just cut off everybody. It was over with. I support everything she does.”
He revealed that they had moved in together after several months of dating.
Iggy was previously linked to basketball star Nick Young, but they called it quits in 2016.
