In a preview for next week’s ‘Friends & Family Hustle,’ T.I.’s daughter, Deyjah Harris opens up about the infamous #hymengate scandal — which her father received a slew of backlash.
“Things are completely awkward between me and my dad,” she says in the preview of the episode. “The situation is just a little traumatizing for me.” She also said she just “didn’t want to be around” her dad at the time.
During an episode of the podcast, Ladies Like Us, T.I. made the following remarks:
“Not only have we had the conversation, we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen,” T.I. said.
He continued, “He comes in and says, ‘Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken, like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding and other forms of athletic physical activity.’ So I say, ‘Look, doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously.'”
