Actor Mark Floyd posted a tribute to George Floyd on his Instagram over the weekend, but he quickly received backlash after social media was quick to bring up his own hate crimes.
“The murder of George Floyd is heartbreaking. We must all work together to fix this problem. I’m praying for all of us. God bless. ❤️🙏❤️#blacklivesmatter,” the actor’s post read alongside a picture of Floyd looking directly into the camera.
There is an entire section of hate crimes featured on the actor’s Wikipedia page.
The page details several incidents involving Wahlberg against the Black community, including racial slurs as well as crimes against the Asian community.
The section has now been changed from “hate crimes” to “racial incidents.”
Still, Wahlberg’s well-documented history as a racist has many wondering how he has been able to continue receiving support after committing such heinous acts against people simply because of the color of their skin.
