Justin Timberlake is facing the wrath of White Twitter, after he posted a tweet, offering to bail out protestors who were arrested during their protests of the death of George Floyd.
“Please join me in supporting the Minneapolis protestors by donating to the @mnfreedomfund. The freedom fund is combatting the harms of incarceration by paying bail for low income individuals who cannot otherwise afford: https://minnesotafreedomfund.org” he tweeted.
Timberlake has leaned heavily on African American influences in his music, and most people were pleased to see him offering support, both financial and otherwise, during this time of civil unrest.
Several high profile celebs have offered to help fund bailouts including,
Kehlani, Seth Rogen, Steve Carell, Lady Gaga, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Don Cheadle, Ellen DeGeneres, Colin Kaepernick, Janelle Monáe, Halsey and many more.
But some of his white supporters were appalled to see him supporting the protestors and took to Twitter to drag him for helping.
