MTO News has just learned that people on Twitter are hoping to cancel another big name celebrity, late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon.
Last night #JimmyFallonIsOverParty trended on social media for hours after old Saturday Night Live skits of Jimmy performing in blackface resurfaced online.
Here’s the skit:
In the skit, Jimmy painted his face Black and he did an impersonation of Chirs Rock. But Jimmy’s impersonation was extra cringeworthy. He made sure to tell the most inappropriate “Black” jokes.
The skit is from many years ago, when racist depictions of Black people were commonplace on television.
Jimmy Fallon is a comedian, actor, television host, writer, and producer. He is known for his work in television as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and as the host of late-night talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and before that Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
He joined NBC’s Saturday Night Live as a cast member in 1998, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Fallon remained on SNL for six years between 1998 and 2004, co-hosting the program’s Weekend Update segment and becoming a celebrity in the process.
