YNW Bortlen, the alleged murder accomplice of rapper YNW Melly has been released from jail on bond.
“Jamell Demons aka @YNWMelly’s co-defendant Cortlen Henry aka @YNWBortlen was granted bond and house arrest,” his attorney tweeted.
“The Defendant’s bond shall be secured, by collateral, in the form of real property and/or other tangible person property, having sufficient net asset value in excess of Ninety Thousand ($90,000.00) dollars,” the court document read per Pitchfork.
YNW Melly will be forced to remain in jail until his trial begins this summer.
Melly and Bortlen were arrested in February 2019 and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Bortlen was also charged with two counts of accessory after the fact.
The trial has been set for July 2nd.
Both men could face the death penalty if convicted for the murders of friends, YNW Juvy, and YNW Sakchaser.
