Kendall Jenner has reportedly agreed to pay back $90,000 of the $275,000 payment she received to promote the disastrous Fyre Festival.
According to docs obtained by The Blast, the settlement reads, “The Defendants shall pay the total sum of $90,000.00 (the “Settlement Payment”), as full and final settlement and complete satisfaction of any claims the Trustee has against the Defendants.”
The trustee presiding over Fyre Festival’s bankruptcy has initially requested that the model return the full payment. Despite reaching a settlement, a judge is yet to sign off on the agreement.
Last August, she opened up to the NY Times about her involvement.
“You get reached out to by people to, whether it be to promote or help or whatever, and you never know how these things are going to turn out, sometimes it’s a risk,” she said at the time.
“I definitely do as much research as I can, but sometimes there isn’t much research you can do because it’s a starting brand and you kind of have to have faith in it and hope it will work out the way people say it will.” Even when she trusts her collaborators, “you never really know what’s going to happen.”
